Our Story

Hey legends! We are Four Elevens, an ethically Australian Made, sustainable, gender neutral, high quality, slow-fashion alternative. All of our pieces are manufactured locally in Australia and designed and embroidered by us in-house (or in-teeny-tiny-studio) in Melbourne.

We are sure you are just as tired as we are with the copious amounts of fast-fashion brands manufactured offshore and the amount of waste, poor working conditions, animal and human exploitation and pollution they contribute to.

Feeling overwhelmed by the amount of these brands that exist, and with a desire of creating a more environmentally friendly and sustainable slow-fashion alternative, Four Elevens founder Danielle dedicated herself to a year of research on how to build and operate a slow-fashion brand that would offer clothing that is not only high quality, long lasting and incredibly comfortable, but also good for the planet and the people in it.

Four Elevens was brought to life from Danielle's dream of combining creativity with social and ethical responsibility, and the journey of teaching herself everything about building and running a business by herself began. Creatively, Danielle spent 6 months teaching herself how to design, digitise for software, and embroider before the launch of Four Elevens.
Danielle still individually embroiders every sweatshirt listed on our website.

By placing an order with us, you are supporting:

- Australian industries and workers
- Trees being planted in areas in need of reforestation, via our packaging
- The slow-fashion world, and showing fast-fashion brands that it is possible to do better
- A small business owned and operated by one woman, devoted to social and ethical responsibility and offering handcrafted, Australian Made products

We love having full creative control of designing and creating our unique handmade pieces, as every single sweatshirt is one of a kind. Every single thread on your sweatshirt has been handcrafted and embroidered by Four Elevens founder, Danielle.

Danielle creates each design from scratch, digitises the design into software, and uses her small domestic embroidery machine to individually embroider every sweatshirt that we sell.

It is only the start, and we can't wait for what's to come. We are so excited and grateful to have you alongside us for our journey, and want to thank you so much for supporting our small business.

Four Elevens acknowledge and recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the first Australians and the Traditional Custodians of the land and water.

We honour and pay our deepest respect to the Boon Wurrung people, members of Kulin Nation, and to their Elders past and present, as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our business resides, and bestow the same courtesy to all other
First Peoples, past and present, who now reside in the region.

It always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.
